Casa de Chá da Boa Nova
Restaurant | €€€
The Casa de Chá da Boa Nova restaurant appears in a building rehabilitated by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, located next to the lighthouse of Leça da Palmeira and considered since 2006 a National Monument. Overlooking the sea and the rocks, and respecting the original layout, this space is perfectly integrated in the landscape, benefiting also from the large glass windows.
In 2014 opened with a new gastronomic project by the renowned chef Rui Paula (also owner of the DOP restaurant in the historic center of Porto and DOC in the Douro). In this restaurant, the chef bets on bringing the sea to the table, with innovative and bold culinary proposals.
Without forgetting regional and land products, fish and seafood are the menu main protagonists. Being a product of chef Rui Paula’s imagination, the menu consists of three unique tasting menus, with a price of around €120 per person - "Sea and Earth", "Atlantic" and "Boa Nova". Due to the creative concept of cuisine and quality of service, in 2016 it won its first Michelin Star.
